Sourcing Specialist

June - August 2022 • Denver, CO

What I liked

The one thing I enjoyed the most from my internship was the sense of community that I experienced working there. It was truly eye opening as far as understanding what a good work environment should look like.

What I wish was different

I wish the training had been a little different. There was a lot of things I wanted to learn about different roles that I did not get the opportunity to do so.

Advice

It is a very self motivated role, you have to really want it in order to excel.

Sales & Recruiting Intern

June - August 2022 • Glen Allen, VA

What I liked

I liked the flexibility. It was a hybrid work schedule, so you would work 3 days at home and 2 in office. I also liked the training program. It lasts a week and they use a variety of different learning techniques (role playing, presentations, etc) to help you learn the material

What I wish was different

I wish the pay was better.

Advice

Be open. Be open to adapting and learning. This is how you will get the most out of your internship experience.

GIS Technician

July 2019 • Sunnyvale, CA

What I liked

I really like the team dynamic/work environment. It is mostly younger people, mid-twenties which makes it easier to communicate and relate with. However, it is still a professional environment and will be a great first job after college.

What I wish was different

I wish that the training period did not take so long, it took about 10 weeks and was done at two different locations before being moved to my final location where I started production.

Advice

That it is okay to not fully grasp a concept and to ask for help, there are a lot of different techniques to learn and it takes a lot of practice to become proficient.
